About M/Y Global
Launched in 1982 as a robust commercial workboat and transformed in 2007 by Shadow Marine, M/Y Global stands today as one of the world’s pioneering true support vessels. At 65 metres, she represents the perfect fusion of expedition capability, technical sophistication, and comfort.
Following a refit in 2023 and the integration of two U-Boat Worx expedition submersibles — the Cruise Sub 7 and Super Yacht Sub 3, both optionally available for purchase — she is now fully equipped to explore the ocean’s depths to 300 meters.
As submarine mothership, Global is a premier platform. Her heavy-duty deck equipment, including a 35-tonne telescopic crane, allows for the effortless launch and recovery of submersibles, tenders, and exploration gear.
The climate-controlled hangar — a rarity even among expedition yachts — is fully equipped to support submersible operations and SCUBA diving providing a protected environment for submersible maintenance and storage. This versatile space can also transition seamlessly for helicopter housing, events, or watersports staging, making motor yacht Global a uniquely adaptable vessel for both adventure and logistics.
The helipad atop the sky deck enhances operational reach, enabling aerial transfers of personnel and equipment between shore and vessel.
